Prayer

We want to pray for you.

Our Prayer ministry is anchored in the understanding that God has ordained prayer as a means of communication with him. A means by which we purposely fortify and deepen our fellowship with Him.

In prayer we daily acknowledge God’s sovereignty and Lordship in our lives, while at the same time presenting to Him our own petitions and concerns so that He might graciously answer us like He promised. The call of 1 Thessalonians 5 to “pray without ceasing” fuels our persistence; the affirmation of James 5:16 that “the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective” gives us the confidence that our efforts are never in vain; and the knowledge that the Holy Spirit Himself teaches us how to pray when we know not what to say emboldens with the assurance that God is always there to help us on our intercession efforts.

Because our goal as a ministry is to help everyone at Sault Wesleyan to develop a robust prayer life, we hold weekly prayer gatherings at the church premises every Monday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Our conviction is that these meetings act as divine refueling sessions for every single attendee’s individual prayer life. Against the knowledge that the Lord has given us a specific mandate to travail in prayer for the sake of others, we also do regular intercession for a boundless range of issues facing not only our local church, but the entire body of Christ across the world.
